Introduction
Welcome to Diary of a Survivalist, the real-time story of a family preparing to weather whatever storm clouds Y2K brings.We've changed the names of the family to protect their privacy, and Jack and Jill seemed appropriate, since we may well all tumble down the hill in the year 2000. We have changed some details regarding locations and Captain Dave has agreed not to answer any questions or provide any details other than emerge from the diary itself. Although slightly fictionalized, the main contents, the thoughts, the actions, the circumstances and situations that will be related here are accurate. They really happened to real people.
